The OG Boss
Leela was a sassy and fashion forward Fashion Designer. Although she may look like a silky terrier, don't let that fool you. Leela was a baby.
Leela started her fashion journey in 2010, designing dog apparel. You can see some of her creations here.
Leela crossed the rainbow bridge in 2022, but her legacy and her love of fashion continue to inspire us. We are currently training a new Intern.
Isabela
Founder, Sewing Instructor and Bag Designer
Isabela’s love for sewing began more than 35 years ago and has only grown stronger with time. What started as a creative passion became a lifelong dedication to impeccable craftsmanship, design, and helping others discover the joy of sewing for themselves.
She specializes in garment sewing, pattern making, and high-end handbag design, and still feels the same excitement every time a project comes together — that moment when fabric transforms into something beautiful, functional, and uniquely personal.
A lifelong learner at heart, Isabela believes creativity thrives through continuous growth and curiosity. She has studied sewing, fashion design, pattern making, European leather working and accessories design extensively, training with respected industry professionals both in the United States and Europe. She studied Fashion Design and Technical Apparel Drafting at Cañada College and Academy of Art University San Francisco.
Students appreciate not only her technical expertise, but also her calm, patient teaching style and encouraging approach. She creates an environment where beginners feel comfortable, experienced sewists feel challenged, and every student is supported at their own pace.
Above all, Isabela believes sewing should feel inspiring, empowering, and deeply rewarding — and she brings that philosophy into every lesson.

When you sign up for one of our classes, you also get to enjoy the perks of working in a nice, professional setup.
The studio is always clean and organized, so you can get to work the moment you walk through the door.

We have brand-new, high-end sewing machines and a serger/coverstitch machine at your disposal. Technically, you don't ever have to buy a sewing machine if you don't want to. Just use one of ours.
You may, however, bring your own sewing machine if you own one. We have worked with many brands in the past and will show you how to use it as well as go over troubleshooting/maintenance tips.
If you are in the market for a new machine, we will give you tips and plenty of knowledge so that you can make a good, educated decision.

We also have lots and lots of eye candy, aka fabric! Fabric so yummy that is sure to bring you lots and lots of inspiration.
Have problems cutting fabric in a straight line? No problem! We've got you covered. We will show you tricks that will have you cutting beautiful, straight lines in no time.
You may even get to meet our mascot. The one in the picture is Leela, the OG Boss lady. She has since crossed the rainbow bridge but we have an intern hard at work.
